Arousana Follas Novas Albariño

Albarino from the best part of Rias Baixas. Clean, crisp and delicious.

Made of grapes from vineyards between 20 and 40 years old. Overflowing with stone fruit, lime zest and saline notes on the attractive, quite perfumed nose. Zesty and crisp with stone fruit and lime on the palate, saline notes and a clean fresh slightly green finish.

From the Val do Salnés, the best winegrowing area in the Rías Baixas. Rias Baixas is the most westerly part of Spain, directly north of Portugal. Here, the Atlantic Ocean dominates the climate, cooling it and making considerably wetter than elsewhere in the country. This is white wine territory, and Albarino’s natural home, with the fresh conditions being mirrored in the wines. A great choice for lovers of clean, fresh dry white wines.

Paco & Lola is a young, modern winery committed to a fresh way of making and experiencing wine. Known around the world for their sophisticatedly fun image.  Founded in 2005, Paco & Lola is the fruit of a business initiative of a group of independent winegrowers from O Salnés who wanted to take their production to a professional level. These growers formed a cooperative called “Sociedad Cooperativa Vitivinícola Arousana”, and now with over 400 members it is the largest cooperative belonging to the DO Rías Baixas. Paco & Lola has over 200 hectares of vineyards spread out over more than 1800 plots of land typical of Galician smallholdings. All these plots are located in the largest of the five DO Rías Baixas subzones, Val do Salnés.
