Casa Defra Lessini Durello
Why not swap that Prosecco for Durello?
Casa Defra's sparkling Durello Brut is the result of a joint venture between two families titled Cielo e Terra: A combination of Cielo winemaking experience and Colli Berici premium vineyards. The little known Durello grape is hand harvested from the hills of Lessinia in Veneto, an area so renowned for these grapes with rich soils of volcanic origin providing excellent growth. Soft pressing and fermentation without maceration with selected yeasts and ageing in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures.
This care and attention results in Luxino; an elegant non-vintage sparkling wine with gentle citrus and floral aromas. The fresh, zippy palate shows crisp green apple and light honeyed characters, with a beautiful finish. Try as an aperitif, or with antipasti, seafood, cold meats or mature cheeses.
Casa Defra Winery was founded in 1908 and aims to represent the best selection of Colli Berici vine growers. Committed to sustainable viticulture for the past 40 years, they work to limit the use of fertilisers, find natural protection for vineyards, use in-cellar water purification and solar energy, and source greener packaging.
