Coriole Estate Sangiovese

Classic Tuscan variety in McLaren Vale sunshine.

It's always interesting to see old-world varieties expressed in different ways when grown in warmer new-world climates. Sangiovese, normally quite earthy with sour cherry fruit, when grown in Tuscany's rolling hills, becomes something riper, much fuller and darker, gaining smokier, spicier notes.
