Digby Brut NV

Round and rich English sparkling. Vibrant yet understated.

Digby was established by founders Jason Humphries and Trevor Clough after they took a life-affirming trip to the Napa Valley to escape the grind of London corporate life. Instead of settling on one vineyard site, Digby buy their grapes from a number of quality-obsessed growers across the southeast.

Establishing relationships with these growers enables them to get fruit from the best vineyards, grown on a range of soils, making wines that represent England’s finest. It also helps that they have one of the UK’s best winemakers at hand, the brilliant Dermot Sugrue.

Pinot Noir takes the lead in this non-vintage blend, with a healthy dose of rich reserve Chardonnay and a little Pinot Meunier.

“Toasty, nutty and biscuity on the nose with some evolution evident. The palate is generous but maintains tension with bright acidity, precise green apple fruit and savoury marine notes. Long and intense on the finish.” Decanter Magazine.

Celebrating English Wine

Celebrating English Wine

It’s no secret that English Sparkling Wines can stand up to – and often beat – the likes of Champagne. In fact, some of the big Champagne houses are now buying plots of land in the UK for their own vineyards, which is certainly saying something! English still wines are now also gaining a reputation for their high quality – and rightfully so – being full of energy and vibrant acidity.

We’ve spent a lot of time visiting vineyards and winemakers around the country, getting excited about the wines they’re producing. So much so, that our range of English and Welsh wines at Tivoli Wines has grown from a handful of bottles to well over 100.

Just because it’s English, that doesn’t mean we’ll add it to our range. We search for wines that demonstrate quality, uniqueness and value for money.
