Domaine du Landreau Cremant De Loire Esprit
A brilliantly balanced and rich style of Crémant. Perfect as an alternative to Champagne.
Crémant de Loire Esprit by Domaine de Landreau showcases the perfect balance of fruit and roasted, nutty, brioche notes. Made in the Champagne method from Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc grape, this is extraordinary quality for the price. Aged on the lees for five years!
Winemakers for four generations, it’s the work of the Morin family behind Domaine du Landreau. Located within the Coteaux du Layon appellation, their vineyards extend across several famous Loire wine producing villages. The vines here are cared for meticulously and harvest is done by hand with several passes through the vineyard so that only grapes with optimum ripeness are picked.
The designation of Cremant de Loir AOC was introduced in 1975 to provide France with a widely recognizable, high quality Loire sparkling wine title, and to provide a reliable alternative to the increasingly expensive wines of Champagne. More than 14 million liters of Crémant de Loire is produced each year. The vast majority is white, with rosé accounting for about 10 percent of the output. In total, around 1,500 hectares (3,700 acres) of vines are spread across the appellation's catchment area.
