Domino de Tharsys Cava Rosado

Pago de Tharsys Cava Brut Rosado is clear strawberry colour, adorned with a lingering, small and neat bubbles. The nose highlights the intense aroma of red fruit, raspberry and strawberry, accompanied by light bakery touches on a background of aromatic herbs. Intense aromas of blue flowers, pink grapefruit skin, red apple and cherries adorn the perfumed palate of the wine. Finishing on limestone notes. It has a noticeable body and a delicate and creamy note that leaves on the palate a pleasant sensation of silkiness, with a refreshing finish that brings back notes of Granny Smith Green Apple.

Pago de Tharsys is a 12-hectare estate based at Requena, some 70 miles inland from Valencia on Spain's eastern coast. The vineyards are located on the plateau above Requena, 650 metres above sea level and face south and are planted in poor sandy soil with excellent drainage. The continental climate means that summers are hot and dry, and winters are cold with occasional rains. Perfect for the cultivation of the various grape varietals grown at the estate which include Garnacha, Macabeo, Chardonnay, Parralleda, Albarino and Xarel-lo.
