Exton Park RB32 Brut Reserve NV

The perfect accompaniment to an Afternoon Tea.

Exton Park is located on a chalky hillside in Hampshire, they have used a blend of 32 reserve wines to create this amazing Brut Reserve. The complex aromas of lemon, passionfruit and honey are balanced by an apple acidity. Great English Sparkling wine to be drunk on its own or with a classic afternoon tea!

After a decade of development and testing, their belief is that there is only one way to make world class English sparkling wine.

Reserve Blend is their signature style. The RB range draws on a 10-year-old library of reserve wines that they have curated and stored in the winery at Exton Park since 2011. The winemaker, Corinne Seely, composes their blends from a huge variety of flavours captured from their 60-acre single vineyard each year.

Pinot Meunier

Pinot Meunier

Pinot Meunier, also known as Meunier or Schwarzriesling, is a black grape variety most noted for being one of the three main varieties used in the production of Champagne (the others being Pinot noir and Chardonnay). Until recently, producers in Champagne generally did not acknowledge Pinot Meunier, preferring to emphasise the use of the other noble varieties, but now Pinot Meunier is gaining recognition for the body and richness it contributes to Champagne.

You'll often find Pinot Meunier in Blanc de Noirs (white of blacks) sparkling wines alongside Pinot Noir.

Pinot Meunier is very, very rarely used to make still wine. It can produce light and fruity red wines with high acidity, but we’re now seeing a number of English producers make still white wines out of this black grape variety.
