Nestling deep in the lush fertile county of the Pay D'age les Vergers de la Moriniere is the idyllic location from which Michel Hubert produces some of the very best farm produced calvados. Michel Hubert controls every aspect of the production his calvados and this knowledge and expertise passed down through five generations has culminated in a product admired for its quality throughout calvados producing community. Michel says that a few pears from the 200-year-old tree next to the cellar in his cider helps ensure its quality.

A truly great Hors d'Age complex in taste, round and very long in the mouth this is a traditional Calvados that will impress.

Bursting with apples and a refreshing greenness, along with hints of vanilla, cinnamon and caramel. There’s the oak maturation influence on the nose, too. He uses 15 varieties of apples, together with 5% of pears, and never sprays his crop. The cider is left in ‘foudres’ for one year before distillation, the Calvados then being matured in long old oak barrels. He only makes single vintage Calvados which is of sublime quality.
