Hundred Hills Signature Rose

Oxfordshire English sparkling, oozing summer strawberries and raspberries.

Great wines are made in vineyards, not in wineries, and from grapes that can slowly grow and ripen in the cool climates that allow them the time to express the hundreds of delicate aromas and flavours that ultimately deliver the fine wines we love.

From the outset Hundred Hills have focused on the low yielding, high quality forms of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that have produced so many great wines in Burgundy and Champagne during the twentieth century. Now it’s the steep chalk slopes paired with the climate of Southern England to prove what it can do in the twenty-first.

Fine wines require grapes have the ‘hang time’ on the vine to develop all the complex aromas and flavours before the sugar levels get too high – here in Oxfordshire, it’s more than one hundred days, hence Hundred Hills.

Created from small quantities of intensely perfumed Pinot Noir grown in the Winery Bank Vineyard, together with ripe Chardonnay from Meadow Woods Vineyard, this luxuriously rich rosé showcases the outstanding 2018 vintage.

Base wines were created without malolactic fermentation and softened in traditional oak casks, before being aged for 18 months on lees. The resulting wine offers an array of floral aromas and summer fruit flavours, highlighting how exceptional this English chalk valley site is. Forest fruits, raspberry and hibiscus notes fill the palate and stay with you long after the glass is finished.

Aperitif friendly, or the perfect partner to red fruited desserts.

Celebrating English Wine

Celebrating English Wine

It’s no secret that English Sparkling Wines can stand up to – and often beat – the likes of Champagne. In fact, some of the big Champagne houses are now buying plots of land in the UK for their own vineyards, which is certainly saying something! English still wines are now also gaining a reputation for their high quality – and rightfully so – being full of energy and vibrant acidity.

We’ve spent a lot of time visiting vineyards and winemakers around the country, getting excited about the wines they’re producing. So much so, that our range of English and Welsh wines at Tivoli Wines has grown from a handful of bottles to well over 100.

Just because it’s English, that doesn’t mean we’ll add it to our range. We search for wines that demonstrate quality, uniqueness and value for money.
