Sandhi Sta Rita Hills Pinot Noir
Expressive small production Pinot Noir made through collaboration and integrity
Sandhi is a small production California winery focusing on select vineyards from the Sta. Rita Hills in Santa Barbara County. The partnership of Raj and Sashi has continuously championed the unions essential to the production of wine: the collaboration between man, earth, and vine. The willing participation of all three elements is necessary to make great wine, and the winegrower must make this collaboration rich and nourishing for all involved. An understanding of these joint efforts informs Sandhi’s exploration of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines throughout the Santa Barbara County terroir.
The wine showcases an ethereal quality that lifts crunchy raspberry, pink peppercorn, and morning dew into the mid-palate. A beautiful Pinot. Sandhi's Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir is vinified with the same level of detail as the single vineyard wines. The wine is a blend of six different vineyards from the southwestern part of the Sta. Rita Hills including Bentrock, Rita's Crown, Rinconada, and Mt. Carmel. This wine showcases the freshness, finesse, and exuberance of the appellation.
