Tsarev Brod Winery Riesling Pet Nat
The first Bulgarian white Pét-Nat. Full of charming fruity notes and a gentle fizz.
Winery “Tsarev Brod” is in the village of Tsarev Brod, Shumen municipality in the close to the Madara Raider which is an object of cultural and natural heritage of UNESCO. The winery started in year 2001 when our family of agronomists planted the first hectare of vines, in the present moment it reaches twenty-seven hectares.
After eight grape-gathering campaigns their grapes range from Sauvignon Blanc, Traminer, Chardonnay, Riesling and Pinot Noir. These were all tasted under different conditions of vinification from leading Bulgarian wine-cellars to approve their production and create the best quality wines.
Tsarev Brod is the first Bulgarian winery to produce Pét-Nat (Pétillant Naturel) from a white grape variety – Riesling. Making naturally sparkling wine by the oldest method. Fermentation starts in small stainless-steel containers, followed by bottling. The wine finishes the fermentation in the bottle. At least five months aging on the fine lees in the bottle.
Visually displays a gentle apricot colour, very fresh nose with intense notes of lemon and yellow fruits. Medium bodied with attractive apple and citrus qualities. Structured with a fine and persistent mousse and a very pleasant, refreshing finish.
